Everyone knows a Barry,
They might not spell their name that way, but they live quietly. They work in their own worlds, come home to their spouse and don’t rock any boats.
Barry had it all, the wife, the job, the stable home. His future looked bright, as long as he didn’t rock any boats. But that didn’t stop the world from rocking him. Soon that wife that loved him, that home, slipped out of his fingers. Leaving him in a deep depression.
He enters into our story left only with that venomous job, a selfish boss and now must survive the longest day of his life.
After all is said and done…

THE CHARACTERS
HOW WE MADE THIS
Writer/Director Dillon Black had been wanting to tell a story about depression for years. His work previously touched on themes but he felt it was time for those ideas to mature. Thus “What’s Left Of Barry” was born. Inspired by the likes of Kubrick and Iñárritu, this film was meant as an experience into the darkest day of a broken mans life.
PRE-PRODUCTION
Working with such a sensitive subject like suicide prevention was something no one took lightly on this production. 10% of the raised budget was donated to suicide prevention services. The production began on suicide prevention week, and the crew and cast were open to share their stories on set. It bonded the crew together to make a memory that lasted long passed the end of the shoot.
PRODUCTION
Filming wrapped in late 2019, with a hope of release by mid June of the next year. But then, COVID happened. The future of this project was unclear. But after years of uncertainty, the project was opened and finished for good!
